MACHINE VISION BRINGS COST AND PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES TO MILITARY IMAGING

How We Can Help

THE DEFENSE AND SECURITY INDUSTRY IS A PERFECT MATCH FOR THE INET CAMERA PORTFOLIO. FROM UAV IMAGING HIGH IN THE SKY, RUGGEDIZED CAMERAS FOR ARMORED COMBAT SUPPORT VEHICLES IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS AND BOMB DETECTION ROBOTICS, IMPERX MILITARY AND DEFENSE CAMERAS ARE THE SERIOUS CHOICE. INET OFFERS  RELIABLE, TOUGH AND COMPETITIVELY PRICED MILITARY AND DEFENSE IMAGING CAMERAS.

FROM HELPING PILOTS MAKE REAL TIME DECISIONS THROUGH UAV VIDEO CAMERA SENSORS, GEO-MAPPING, TARGET OBJECT TRACKING AND TRAJECTORY PLANNING, FACIAL RECOGNITION AND ANOMALY DETECTION ACROSS BORDERS, VISIBILITY THROUGH ADVERSE CONDITIONS SUCH AS SMOKE AND FOG AND UP TO VIDEO SURVEILLANCE THERE ARE NUMEROUS MILITARY, SECURITY AND AEROSPACE RELATED APPLICATIONS THAT RELY ON MACHINE VISION.

Thermal Cameras

Thermal imaging systems allow ground troops to detect differences in temperature between inanimate objects and enemy forces. These devices collect the infrared radiation in the camera's field of vision and use that information to create an image.

MOTION DETECTION

Motion detection is an important task of Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) and perimeter monitoring systems. ATR is the field of science to detect, track, classify targets from video and signal streams. Perimeter or border monitoring mainly consists of detecting any unwanted or unexpected movement of person or vehicles in and around the area under surveillance. Thermal imaging has become an integral part of these systems because of its ability to operate in all weather conditions.

Typical moving target identification (MTI) system consists of a thermal imager, frame grabber, processing system, communication system and software comprising of algorithms to detect motion in the thermal images.

Rugged PTZ

Pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras are built with mechanical parts that allow them to swivel left to right, tilt up and down, and zoom in and out of a scene. They’re typically used to monitor wide open areas requiring a 180 or 360 degree view, and deployed in guard stations where active personnel can operate them through a remote camera controller. Depending on the camera or software, they can also be set to automatically follow motion-triggered activity or adhere to a pre-set schedule. PTZ cameras are generally implemented in tandem with a larger surveillance system, in which the PTZ tracks movement while a fixed camera takes detailed shots.

MIL-STD-810G

MIL-STD-810G is a US military specification that guarantees a level of durability for a piece of technology. Specifically, it means the equipment has gone through a series of 29 tests. These put the phone up against shock, vibration, heat, cold, gunfire shock, humidity, and more. Any MIL-STD-810G device should be field-ready or even “combat-ready” in principle. A lot of technology sold to the US military must be MIL-STD-810G compliant. To win contracts, manufacturers will likely need to demonstrate that this is the case.

INET Offers MIL-STD-810G Cameras and optics:

  • Visible Camera

  • Block camera

  • Thermal Camera

  • Board Level Camera
